"This 32" family wheel, posted on our kitchen wall, exemplifies process over product. A map of our neighborhood and photos of our garden in each season fill the center. Around the outside we chose to notice and record whatever was happening in the moment, creating an eclectic mix of observations about nature, weather, gardening, and other family milestones. We look back at this wheel many years later and remember stories that go with each of our recorded observations. The detail remains in our oral tradition, rather than a written journal."
